Thank you Little Ladies, presently we have given $500.00 to the Brittany Freedom fund to help Brittany Hunt pay for hearing aids. As well as $1000 dollars to Sonja Coffee, (Miss Tonja's sister) to help with medical expenses as she battles breast cancer.

Welcome to the online home of the Kirky Cancer Foundation. We set up this foundation in memory of my Mother, Kathrine Pacheco (her nickname was Kirky, originating from her maiden name Kirkman). In July of 2005 Kirky was diagnosed with brain and lung cancer. My mom had suffered from MS for over 20 years and was a true fighter, and more so then that, was not a complainer, she put others first always and no one would ever know of the battles that she fought. On September 2nd, 2005, after a short but brutal battle with her cancer, Kirky passed away surrounded by her family whom she loved and cherished. Kirky had always thought of her family and even when the end was near, she would often say, "you don't have to stay here, I will be fine, go home and be with the girls", my mother was truly a person who put others before herself, and adored all her grandchildren..

In the spirit of my mom and her love for children we created this foundation to aid families struggling through the battle of cancer. From our experience, when families are going through this battle life as you know it stops, a simple trip to the grocery store becomes hard and time consuming as well as any other daily activity. This foundation will allow families to take time together to enjoy each other outside of the ongoing battle of cancer.

The Kirky Cancer Foundation will provide families with everything from day trips, to weekends away for the enjoyment of each other. We will also do things as simple as hiring a day nurse for Mom and Dad to have a date or just run errands, These are the things that my mother would have liked her family to enjoy doing.

We are proud to sponsor New England Cheer, Little Ladies who give of themselves and only cheer for charity. We are thankful to these little girls who give of themselves so willingly in the aid of others.
